To Whom It May Concern:

I had the pleasure of working with Clayton Conner, late spring of 2018. Conner was consulted and hired to paint a mural on the wall of a newly remodeled Hotel Wing at Westmark Skagway Hotel. The mural was to serve as an accent to the newly remodeled and painted Hotel Wing. Clayton collaborated with our organizations marketing department to come up with a mural design that would both compliment the facility, as well as, the surrounding community. Clayton's insight, vision and complete understanding of the community history, steered the cooperative effort in the right direction. As progress on the mural began to take form, from paper sketch toward finished product, it became immediately clear that the work we were witnessing was being carried out by masterful artistic genius. The end product we received far exceeded our wildest expectations and immediately became the show piece of our entire renovation project. Hundreds of tourists and locals alike take pictures of this mural daily. The opportunity we had to work with Clayton was a privilege as much as it was a combination of intelligence, insight, and endearing likeability coupled with Clayton's gifted artistic ability, set him apart from others I have worked with in the past. I would strongly recommend Clayton to any potential employer looking for that rare person with the ability and willingness to exceed their expectations. If you wish to discuss Clayton any further, please feel free to give me a call.

Sincerely,

To Whom It May Concern:

This school year, our students and staff had the privilege to interact with Master Alaskan Artist Clayton Conner. He won the bid with his brilliant concept that integrated all aspects of our school and community.

Our school's core values are Academic Excellence. Strength of Character, and Achievement in Life and our mascot is the Alaskan Lynx. Our community is built on the shores of beautiful Lake Clark, surrounded by towering mountains. We live in a fly-in only village and aviation is the main industry, necessity, and recreation for our whole community. Clayton was somehow able to tie all this together with his stunning 8'x12' masterpiece, now presiding over our student commons (see photos).

Best yet, he is very personable and was well-liked and respected by our students K-12. He not only had them contribute personally to his masterpiece, but also taught several art lessons to give them opportunity and supplies to create their own paintings.

On behalf of Port Alsworth and the Tanalian School family, we want to express both our gratitude and our highest recommendation to Clayton Conner.

To Whom It May Concern:

With a new building, the local school board desired to hire a painter that would bring to life the past, present, and future of Kuinerrarmiut Elitnaurviat and the village Quinhagak.

With nothing more than an idea of what we wanted, Clayton Conner created a masterpiece that has received the approval of not only the local school board but also the community. This masterpiece incudes a pictional representation of past village life including images of the daily tasks and responsibilities that occur in the Yupik culture.

The mural also represents the staff that presently work at Kuinerrarmiut Elitnaurviat. Within this section of the mural, subsistence activities are weaved in with various staff members.

The future is represented on a wall that holds a place for the signature of future staff that will work at Kuinerrarmiut Elitnaurviat.

Mr. Conner has brought to life the various sports that are offered to students at Kuinerrarmiut Elitnaurviat by painting a student engaged in that sport. There are paintings of students in action in cross country, NYO, volleyball, girls basketball, boys basketball, and Yupik dance.

Our school has become a showplace because of the work of Clayton Conner. He was able to envision our idea and produce a tribute to the Yupik village and culture of Quinhagak.

I highly recommend Clayton Conner be considered for any project to enhance your building. You will be pleased with his work.

Sincerely,
